Dear Members

Now that we are in Level 2, we are looking forward to welcoming you back to the club, we have
missed you.  We understand that for some this could not have come soon enough, for others you

will be a bit reluctant, but we want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to ensure that  the club is a safe and welcoming place for you to visit during level 2 and beyond.

What Level 2 means for our club

From Thursday 21st of May, our club will open business.

Level 2 is not normal, and we are having to make some big changes to the way we operate.  This
means that you are going to have to make some changes to the way you use the club (for a little
while).  Please ensure that you follow staff instructions at all times and if you are unsure about how

something is being done, ask, we will be more than happy to explain the how and the why.

Keeping you and our community safe

Level 2 comes with a number of rules and restrictions which will mean we have to do things a little  differently.  The committee, management and staff have worked hard to put these changes in place  at short notice and appreciate your cooperation to ensure that our club is safe for everyone.

When you arrive at the club you will be greeted by a staff member who will explain how we are  operating and will be able to answer any questions you may have.  You will need to complete the  contact tracing register and use the hand sanitiser provided.

Contact Tracing

In order to open we are required to keep a register of everyone who visits the club, the information  we are required to collect includes:

  • Date of visit

  • Time in and time out

  • Full Name (not nickname)

  • Contact Telephone Number •    Physical Address

  • Email Address (if possible)

We will be using a manual paper register (that a staff member will complete for you) as well as a  electronic app [called guesthq which the staff will help you with].

Please be assured that this register will only be used for the purposes of contact tracing.

Personal Hygiene

Each member is expected to observe a high level of personal hygiene at all times within the club.
Please make use of the hand sanitiser we are providing and wash your hands thoroughly after using  the rest room.

  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow or cover your mouth and nose with tissues

  • Put used tissues in the bin or bag immediately

  • Wash your hands with soap and water often (at least 20 seconds) and dry them •     Use the approved hand sanitiser provided

  • Avoid touching your face if your hands are not clean

  • Avoid contact with people who are unwell

If you are unwell in anyway you must stay home.  We are not prepared to take chances on your  health, the health of other members or our staff.  We have contactless digital thermometers to  regularly test staff and we will check members if we are concerned that you are unwell.

Symptoms of COVID-19 to look out for

  • New or worsening Cough

  • High temperature (at least 38degrees) •     Shortness of breath

  • Sore throat

  • Sneezing and runny nose

  • Temporary loss of sense of smell

The Three S’s

On the 7th May the Government announced the three S’s that hospitality venues needed to adopt to  open under level 2.  The three S’s are;

Seated

  • Each person/group will need to be seated at a table while in the club.

  • The tables and chairs have been set up to ensure that physical distancing requirements are

met, please do not more any furniture without first talking to your server.

  • You can get up to go to the toilet – when you do make sure to follow the physical distancing

    and hygiene requirements.

Separated

  • We must continue to observe the physical distancing rules. Because our club is considered a

controlled environment that means you should keep a distance of 1 meter between
yourself, staff and other members.

  • Please stay within your group. We understand that this may be a challenge as you will be

looking forward to seeing some familiar faces, hopefully if we can all keep at it, it will not be

long until we can move around more freely again.

Single Server

  • Service will happen at your table, please do not come up to the bar or counter, unless

advised to do so by your server.

  • There will be a dedicated staff member (your server) who will look after during your visit.

  • Please be patient, if you need help give your server a wave and they will be with you as soon

    as possible.

  • We will be taking payments at the bar, please signal your server to let them know you are

ready to pay, and they will call you to the bar when it is free.

100 People in Total

  • We can only have 100 people in the club at a time. For this reason, we will be limiting entry

to members and their immediate families.

  • We are also responsible for the area outside the club if we do reach capacity and you are not

able to enter the club please do not wait at the door or in the carpark. If you do find yourself

in carpark catch up, remember to keep your distance, and keep it brief.

Smokers

You are able to get up from your table to smoke.  Please use common sense in the smoker’s area:

  • Maintain your distance, if you are unable to maintain your distance wait until it is possible to

    do so.

  • Use the hand sanitizer provided.

    •    Do not share cigarettes or vapes.

Sports and Adjuncts

Sports and adjunct activities can resume but they will be limited due to hygiene and physical  distancing requirements.

Each adjunct will be developing guidelines in conjunction with club staff.  We ask that you follow the  guidelines, show respect and look out for each other.

Health and Safety and Food Safety

As part of our preparation to open we have developed a safety plan specifically for COVID-19 which  includes staff hygiene and cleaning.

Staff will be following a strict hygiene measures which includes but is not limited to, increased hand  washing regardless of hand sanitiser use.  Staff will be washing hands in-between interactions with  different groups, and when they move between areas of the club i.e. office to bar.

In addition to the usual cleaning schedule staff will be regularly disinfecting surfaces and equipment.   This will happen on a regular basis throughout opening hours as well as between customer
interactions.

Please be patient with our team, their duties have increased as a result of COVID-19 and they are  doing their best to adapt to the different way of working.

We cannot wait to see you at the club again, our team have worked really hard to make the club as  safe as possible and as welcoming as possible under the current circumstances.

Kind regards

The team at Mangere Cosi Club

A LITTLE ABOUT US
