The club was established in 1976 by a few local fellows wanting something more than your typical overpriced boring watering hole. Mangere Cosmopolitan Club officially opened in 1979 and quickly grew a reputation for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere and not to mention the growing number of sports based adjuncts and lively entertainment. The Mangere Cosmopolitan Club has become a “home away from home” for many of our locals and their families.

With the continual support of our members the club facilities have grown over the years to meet the requirements of its community and ever increasing membership, allowing us to further support the community by way of contributions made to charity and other non-profit organisations throughout the greater Mangere area.

There isn’t a more laid-back, fun and enjoyable atmosphere than the Mangere Cosmopolitan Club. We pride ourselves on our friendly and a welcoming atmosphere not to mention our excellent facilities. you can read more here

Dear Members,

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Mangere Cosmopolitan Club will be held in the club rooms on Sunday the 24th of June at 12pm.

Presentation of your membership card at the door is required for entry.

Notices of motion and remits are displayed in the foyer at the main entrance, one of which is the presentation of the reviewed Club Constitution. Changes to this document include the changes to the voting times as requested at last years AGM and the inclusion of a new membership class which allows us more flexibility with membership. Because the Constitution has been reviewed by the Clubs of New Zealand lawyers in Wellington, it also contains numerous grammatical corrections.

Because the constitution is such a large document, it will be available on request from the office.

The Financial Statements will also be available from the office from Monday the 11th of June.

Nominations for office open on the 1st of June and close on Sunday the 17th of June at 5pm. Nomination forms will be freely available from the office, bar and reception.

Completed nominations are to be placed in the sealed box provided which will sit on the bar. This box will be cleared daily and the completed nomination forms will be displayed on a board inside the foyer area.

Voting will open on Monday the 18th of June and will close one hour after the completion of the Annual General Meeting.

A notice of voting hours will be displayed in the club.
