A LITTLE ABOUT US

The club was established in 1976 by a few local fellows wanting something more than your typical overpriced boring watering hole. Mangere Cosmopolitan Club officially opened in 1979 and quickly grew a reputation for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere and not to mention the growing number of sports based adjuncts and lively entertainment. The Mangere Cosmopolitan Club has become a “home away from home” for many of our locals and their families.

With the continual support of our members the club facilities have grown over the years to meet the requirements of its community and ever increasing membership, allowing us to further support the community by way of contributions made to charity and other non-profit organisations throughout the greater Mangere area.

There isn’t a more laid-back, fun and enjoyable atmosphere than the Mangere Cosmopolitan Club. We pride ourselves on our friendly and a welcoming atmosphere not to mention our excellent facilities. you can read more here

NOTICE OF EXTRAORDINARY SPECIAL MEETING

Dear Members,

An extraordinary special meeting has been called for on the 30th of September at 11am.

The agenda of the meeting is to discuss and vote on the proposed re-drafted constitution of the Mangere Cosmopolitan Club. The motion for the meeting is moved by Kevin Morrow (#472) and seconded by Sharon Wikaira King (#618).

A copy of the draft constitution is available at the club office. Remits and Notices of Motion (proposed changes) must be in writing, moved and seconded by current financial members and places with the Secretary Manager, Mike Cassidy, no later than the 20th of September.

The meeting requires a quorum of 50 members. To encourage as many members as possible to attend, the club is putting up 10 $50 bar tabs to be drawn. To be eligible, members must be present at the start of the meeting.

The bar tabs will be drawn at half way through the All Blacks vs. Argentina game which kicks off at 11.40am. There will be complimentary finger food and refreshments for those attending the meeting.

It will also be the last day to pay for your membership renewal – the office will be open for any membership renewals.

Regards,

Judith Daniels
